How long does it take to upload data to the Cloud from an AoFrio SCS controller?
The time it takes to upload data from an AoFrio SCS Controller to the Cloud depends on whether it is connected to the Internet via a Gateway or SCS 800 – or if the connection is through AoFrio’s software.
Let’s look at the software connection first.
Manual data upload via Field or Track app
If a technician or salesperson is using AoFrio’s Bluetooth-enabled Field or Track app (on a smartphone/tablet) to connect to the SCS Controller then the data they collect will be stored on their device until it next makes an Internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).
The data uploads to the Cloud automatically as soon as that connection is detected and the duration depends on the available internet speed. Normally this is between a few seconds to several minutes for each cooler’s dataset. There’s no exact per-cooler upload time
Automated upload using AoFrio Gateway or SCS 800
The AoFrio Gateway and SCS 800 upload operational data to the Cloud automatically. Under normal operation, this is at least once every 24 hours. If a high-priority alarm is generated, this data is uploaded immediately.
While upload duration varies for each situation, normal data transfers will take place within minutes of a connection being available. For routine operations, the system is designed to ensure assets are synchronized with the Cloud daily or upon alarm events.
