The 'Time-of-day' standby parmeters change standby states in the connected cooler based around time of day and store operating hours.
When not an SCS Controller is not configured for 'time-of-day' standby, the standby settings are controlled by activities such as door openings and motion sensing.

For cold drink equipment, this means the equipment moves into Transition Mode 3 for the time set (pull-down time) before the in-store opening time (hour and minute) to make sure the cold drinks are close to serving temperature when the store opens.
