# What is the process for activating or deactivating multiple devices and SIM cards?
## This is a frequent question from our OEM customers who manufacture whole fleets of coolers, rather than individual assets.
Depending on the customer requirements, which may include staged activation and commissioning for devices and the SIM cards inside them, we normally recommend a solution we have developed specifically for the OEM manufacturing process – such as the [Universal Programmer](https://support.aofrio.com/universal-programmer-software-overview?hsLang=en) (for motors) or [Lab app](https://support.aofrio.com/lab-app-overview?hsLang=en), [Cradle app](https://support.aofrio.com/scs-cradle-programmer?hsLang=en), and the [OEM Dashboard](https://support.aofrio.com/scs-oem-dashboard-overview?hsLang=en) software (for our SCS Controllers and Gateways).
Please discuss this directly with an AoFrio Customer Success Manager if you have a question similar to this one and look at options that will build streamlined activation into your existing processes. This may also include staged builds where the hardware is installed into the asset (eg. cooler) but not fully activated until it is in place at a consumer-facing location such as a supermarket or restaurant.
