ALr 48 - Manual shutdown (long touch disable)

In this situation, the cooler has been intentionally placed into a manual shutdown state by an on-site user or technician using the display keypad shortcut. ( FW 4028.2 onwards).

When this feature is enabled, holding both the Left and Right keypad buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds:

  • Turns off all controller outputs (compressor, fans, lights)

  • Illuminates the Alarm LED

  • Displays OFF on the screen

  • Logs ALr 48 to the event history.

Re-enabling depends on the method:

  • Keypad: press and hold both the Left and Right buttons simultaneously for at least 2 seconds, until the display reverts to the standard temperature readout and normal refrigeration resumes.

  • Power cycle: disconnect and reconnect mains power to clear the manual shutdown state and resume normal operation.

  • Parameter configuration: if accidental shutdowns occur frequently, disable the Long Touch parameter in the controller’s parameter profile using the AoFrio Field app or Cradle app.
