How Sensor and Gateway connectivity work together in the Food Retail app

The Food Retail app uses wireless sensors and a gateway to collect temperature data and send it to AoFrio's iQ platform.

The typical data flow is:

  1. Sensor measures temperature.

  2. Sensor transmits data to the gateway.

  3. Gateway forwards data to the Food Retail part of the iQ platform.

  4. Users view data, alarms, and notifications within the Food Retail app.

Can a gateway support more than one sensor?

A single LoRaWAN gateway can receive data from multiple sensors simultaneously. This allows multiple refrigeration cabinets, freezers, or monitored areas to be covered using a single gateway installation.
